    Craft Artist Call Out

Mitchell Arts Centre is looking for craft artists to supply our new retail outlet within our café area.

Mitchell Arts Centre (MAC) was built in 1957 to commemorate Reginald Mitchell’s achievements (who designed the Spitfire); built via public subscription, the purpose of the Centre was to enable local people to engage with cultural and artistic activities with special emphasis on young people. Having fallen into disrepair, the Centre was completely refurbished in 2011 and following an asset transfer from Stoke-on-Trent City Council now operates as an independent youth charity.

The MAC currently provides auditorium, meeting room, dance studio and creative workspace hire for local community groups, businesses and other charities. In addition to this the core activities of MAC include a Café Bar operation and project work with children & young people.

We are looking for artists to supply work to our vibrant centre to enhance our customer experience. You will supply work on a sale or return bases, which could change in the future depending on success of sales. All work will be subject to commission. We are particularly interested in jewellery, small 3d objects, prints, wall hung work and cards.

If this is of interest please send your CV/artist statement and a few images by Friday 19th February.
