Ray Johnson Film Archive

Presented by Staffordshire Film Archive

At the end of the 1950s the Music Scene was changing - and the Potteries nightspots became the hub of the North West in the 1960s. See and hear highlights of our Hollywood Music Festival of 1970, with Free, The Grateful Dead and Mungo Jerry. Crowds came here from Manchester and Birmingham to The Place and The Golden Torch - the launchpad of the NORTHERN SOUL scene of the 1970s. Hear the memories and see some great archive footage - a real rockin' film show!
