STOKE CITY SPECIAL:
THE BOOTHEN ENDS - Farewell to the Victoria Ground - 30th ANNIVERSARY, 1997.
Dating from 1878, the Victoria Ground was the oldest League Football ground in Britain - and hence the World. It was the only ground upon which League Football had been played continuously since the formation of the League in 1888, and the famous Boothen End was the largest remaining standing end in the country. See and hear the sights and sounds of the Victoria Ground through this unique history and tribute. Capture the true feeling of this historic place. This is the Story of the Vic.
Plus “The Lost Film” - “SHOUTS FOR CITY” - Broadcast once in 1975 then lost for over 30 years before being found and restored by the Media Archive for Central England. It’s a Time Capsule featuring the fans, the players and the staff of Stoke City in this very special era of the Club’s history. See Greenhoff, Waddington, Banks, Freddie Steele and many more! It gives a unique and mesmerising look at the colours, characters and actual ‘atmosphere’ in and around the old Victoria Ground in the 1970s!
